Bored!....how to: just do it!
There are so many everyday things that little ones need to learn, one of those is walking! How do you get your child to make their first steps? Well you can make it easier or harder it’s your choice. Make it fun, yup I will keep tickling that tickle-bone you have it’s vital to not encourage your child, it’s as easy as this, take a toy cart or toy trolley and be silly and walk with fun and then say “(Gracie/Name) have a go!” And just hand it over and watch them go for it and clap and show joy, not an ‘about time’ kind of look show them you are proud and elated.
So now we have walking done, next is potty training. Basically children see potties as being like their toys, and many potties are decorated like toys. So how do we encourage without bribery? Mmmm we are all in need of recognising that our waste of all kinds are vital to live and recreate especially our attitudes towards human waste needs to change. So until our solution to our waste is resolved we have to introduce our children to emptying their bowels into a nice shiny colourful pretty pot! Tell baby this is going to be taking care of their ‘baba’ and then take them to where you dispose of poo and wee and say “thank you and goodbye” we all need to be grateful for our waste, most of our waste is our very own flesh, not solely what we eat, so we are flushing ourselves down the toilet! One way to look at it.
Visiting shops can often be a nightmare with tiny fingers and beady eyes! The next blog will highlight how to be ready and prepare them.
